General

The Linssen Grand Sturdy 500 Variotop MKII from 2009 is a classic, traditional motor yacht of high quality, built by the renowned Dutch shipyard Linssen Yachts BV in Maasbracht. With a length of 14.99 meters, a beam of 4.88 meters, and a vertical clearance of up to 5.45 meters, this steel yacht offers spacious and comfortable accommodations, designed for both long voyages and relaxed cruising. The development of this model was co-facilitated by yacht designer Anne Elsinga, known for her contribution to the practical layout and distinctive design of the larger Grand Sturdy line.

The hull of the Grand Sturdy 500 Variotop MKII features a multi-chined design, constructed from strong flat steel panels, making the boat both robust and stable. The deck and superstructure are also made of steel and feature teak on the deck surfaces, giving the boat an elegant appearance while also offering durability and safety. The spacious wheelhouse with a Variotop roof enhances all-round visibility and creates a bright, open atmosphere in the interior. Dark-tinted double-glazed windows with anodized frames ensure privacy and durability.

The interior is modern, featuring cherry wood and beige leather upholstery, creating a warm and stylish ambiance. The boat offers berths for six people in three cabins: the aft cabin with a double bed, the forward cabin with a V-berth, and a guest cabin with two bunk beds. The saloon is spacious and bright, with large windows offering panoramic views, a comfortable seating area, and a dining area perfect for social gatherings. The galley is fully equipped with an induction cooktop, a combination oven/microwave, two spacious refrigerators with freezer compartments, and a Siemens dishwasher. The water system, including hot water via a boiler, ensures optimal comfort on board.

The yacht is excellently equipped for long voyages. The engine room houses two reliable Vetus Deutz DET66E425E diesel engines, each developing 170 hp, coupled with ZF45-H gearboxes. Both engines are equipped with hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, making maneuvering in tight harbors easy. The fuel system consists of a 2800-liter steel tank, while the electrical system, with seven batteries, a Mastervolt and Victron charger, an inverter, and five 180 W solar panels, provides a robust and self-sufficient energy system.

Navigation and electronics are fully equipped with a Raymarine Axiom system, radar, AIS, autopilot, multifunction displays, and Alphatron VHF radios. For safety, the vessel is equipped with a Plastimo life raft, an electric fire extinguishing system in the engine room, an electric bilge pump, and a self-bailer.

Outside, the yacht offers luxury and comfort with a full teak deck, a cockpit tent over the aft deck, outdoor cushions, an integrated swim platform with a ladder, and a hydraulic walkway for hoisting a dinghy. A hydraulic mast lowering system and stainless steel bow ladder make sailing and mooring easy and safe.

In short, the Linssen Grand Sturdy 500 Variotop MKII combines robust Dutch craftsmanship, spacious and luxurious accommodation, and extensive technical equipment, making this yacht ideal for both long cruises and relaxed sailing in style and comfort.

The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.
1

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage.

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.
2

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert.

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

3

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself.

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.
4

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document.

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.
5

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems.

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
