The first Riviera 4600 SY Platinum Edition sails through Europe from now on!

Roermond-based Bestboats International Yachtbroker, Dealer Riviera Benelux & Germany, is proud to announce that the very first Rivier 4600 SY Platinum is now sailing across Europe.

In June 2022, the Schliessas family opted for a new Riviera 4600 SY Platinum Edition, becoming the first European owner of this model Riviera Yacht. A fantastic yacht, very suitable for the European Rivers, it comes with superior equipment, luxury and a look guaranteed to stand out in any company.

To validate their choice, the family visited the Riviera Yachts stand during the 20222 Yachting Festival in Cannes and upon seeing the US demo model of the 4600 SY, they were completely sold! This was without a doubt their yacht... 

Together with Bestboats and the Décor & Interior Stylist of Riviera Yachts, Sarah Mathias, the yacht was very stylishly decorated with the latest colours and fabric collection of Riviera Yachts via a Zoommeeting. Beautiful on paper but even more beautiful in real life. 

Then we had to wait for the yacht to be completed at the shipyard in Coomera, and we were kept updated weekly on progress via photos and films. All very pleasing for the buyers to see how their yacht came to life on the other side of the world. 

Finally, six weeks ago, the yacht was loaded onto the Sea Carrier in Sydney for sea transport to Rotterdam. There she was welcomed by team Bestboats and sailed directly to the Sales Marina in Roermond. 

Last week, she was prepared by Team Bestboats for delivery to the family and finally on 7 July 2023, the big day arrived when the yacht could be officially handed over to the family Schliessas! 
 
 

On behalf of Riviera Yachts and Bestboats, we celebrated a "Welcome to the Riviera Family" party with the new owners, their close family and friends, and thanked them for their trust in Bestboats and Riviera Yachts! It was a great sunset evening for everyone. 

Meanwhile, the yacht is moored in her home port and we have welcomed another more than satisfied Riviera family into our Riviera heart! We wish them beautiful cruises within Europe and toast once again to "Heike", the very first Riviera 4600 SY Platinum Edition in Europe!

The Purchase Process: How Does It Work?

If you are working with a yacht broker for the first time, it’s helpful to understand how the purchase process works and what you can expect from us.

Orientation and Making an Offer

Do you have a yacht in mind? You can schedule a viewing without obligation to determine if the yacht meets your expectations. A technical inspection is not necessary at this stage. 

Based on your impression, you can make an offer. We act as an intermediary and negotiate on your behalf with the yacht's owner.

Price Agreement and Purchase Agreement

Once we have agreed on the price, we will draw up a purchase agreement. This usually includes a clause making the purchase subject to a survey by an expert. 

When signing the agreement, we request a 10% deposit. This amount will be held in a secure third-party escrow account.

Survey and Finalization

An expert will carry out a comprehensive survey of the yacht. If any issues are found, the seller will resolve them or compensation will be offered if you prefer to handle the repairs yourself. 

If the issues are too significant, you can cancel the purchase.

Final Payment and Delivery

Once the issues are resolved and you are satisfied, you pay the remaining 90%. This amount will also be securely held in the third-party escrow account. Once you confirm that the yacht meets your expectations, you will sign the delivery document. 

Only then will the funds be released to the seller, and we will schedule the official handover.

Handover and Transfer

Together, we will carefully review all documentation so you know exactly what you are purchasing. We will also inspect the yacht to ensure all issues have been addressed. Of course, we will provide you with explanations on the onboard equipment and key systems. 

Once everything is clear and meets your satisfaction, we will officially hand over the keys and your new boating adventure can begin.
